Mahwah Day Among Bergen Events Postponed for Weekend Nor'easter

Several events scheduled for this weekend in Bergen County have been postponed as forecasters predict a nor’easter will bring multiple rounds of rain and strong winds to the area.

Weather Outlook

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and wind advisory for Bergen County through the weekend. Rain is expected to begin Friday night and continue through Sunday night, with totals reaching up to 1.25 inches on Saturday and 1.5 inches on Sunday.

Postponed Events

Among the events affected are the annual Mahwah Day, now rescheduled for Oct. 3; the Safety Fest in Hillsdale, also moved to Oct. 3; and a commemoration of the 248th anniversary of the Baylor Massacre in River Vale, now set for Oct. 11.
