About Bergen TV

Bergen TV (bergentv.com) is an independent, locally owned U.S. news organization headquartered in New Jersey covering Bergen County’s 70 municipalities. We follow the decisions that shape life and property taxes across Bergen County: municipal councils, planning and zoning boards, school boards, the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, police and public safety, and the courts.

Who We Are & Sister Newsrooms

Bergen TV is independently owned and operated in New Jersey by Hudson TV LLC (Julio Reynoso, Publisher & Executive Editor). Bergen TV is not owned by a chain, a political party, a campaign, or any government agency. Its sister New Jersey outlets are Hudson TV, which covers Hudson County, and Jersey Intel, which covers New Jersey statewide.

Original Reporting, Bylines & Image Attribution Policy

• Primary-Source Investigations: Our stories are built on primary public records obtained under New Jersey’s Open Public Records Act (OPRA, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.), meeting agendas, minutes and video, court filings, ordinances, contracts, and budgets. Our OPRA Tracker lists the requests we have filed.
• Right of Reply: We ask the officials, vendors, and agencies we report on for comment before we publish and document their responses.
• Bylines & Image Credits: Every article carries a clear editorial byline, a primary-source document list, and explicit photographer, agency, or Creative Commons license credits on every photograph and graphic.

Our Standards

• Ethics Policy: we follow the SPJ Code of Ethics, and the page explains our editorial and verification standards.
• Corrections Policy: how we fix errors and how to report one.
• Privacy Policy: what we collect and why.
