Cliffside Park Issues Road Closure Updates for Sewer Upgrades

The Borough of Cliffside Park has issued multiple community updates covering road closures, construction projects, and upcoming local events and services.

Traffic and Construction Alerts

Portions of several roads remain affected by sewer upgrade work. Lawton Avenue, Grove Avenue, Oregon Avenue, and Oakdene Avenue are scheduled for closures from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. through Friday, September 25. Earlier alerts noted similar daytime closures on Desoto Place, Palisade Avenue, Nelson Avenue, and Greenmount Avenue through early September for sewer and sidewalk improvements. A water main break at the intersection of Adolphus Avenue and Cecilia Avenue led to temporary road closures around Oxen Hill on September 7.

Upcoming Events

A Bergen County Job Fair is scheduled for October 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Early voting for the general election begins October 24. Mail-in ballots have been distributed to residents. Borough Hall will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026, for Labor Day and will reopen the following day.

The Summer Concert Series, presented by Mayor Thomas Calabrese and the Borough Council, included performances at Towne Centre Plaza.
